Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me. My name is John Geanangel. I am a technology integration specialist at an elementary school in Lexington, SC. This will be my 6th year in this position and my 5th year at the same school. I am married to an absolutely fabulous lady by the name of Cindy. We live in the middle of 800 acres of farm land…not ours fortunately! I find my position extremely rewarding…I love helping teachers and students to discover, explore, and implement technology. I am very proud of the educators that I work with…they are really beginning to embrace the notion that classroom instruction must evolve to meet the needs of today’s students. We are also grateful to have an administration that is completely supportive and dedicated to making dreams come true!
Beyond family and work I have many hobbies. I keep and maintain a collection of Bonsai trees that I have created or purchased over the last 15 years. I am also a lover of rocks and stones…I know that sounds weird but I just can’t help it:) I have stones from all over the world ranging in size from a couple of mm to nearly a ton. Cindy and I have spent much time landscaping in an effort to provide a beautiful garden in which to display our bonsai and stones.
I am also an avid disc golf player and normally try to get at least 2 rounds in every week. I paddle my canoe for pleasure and fishing on a regular basis.
And now I have started this blog…not sure where the time is going to come from to write and who really cares to read it…but it is something I feel led to do. I hope that you are able to enjoy, learn something, or just take a moment to ponder, as you read my posts.
Please feel free to contact me via email.
John
