I am not sure why but I seem to have been procastinating about getting this blogging thing going…but not now!!! I just recently returned from A. November’s Building Learning Communities conference in Boston and I am really excited about the possibilities that blogging and podcast bring to the community of learners at my school. At this conf., I had the opportunity to interact with educators who are really making a difference for both students and teachers. Folks like Will Richardson, Darren Kuropatwa, Marco Torres, Dr. Tim Tyson, as well as many other educators, like myself, who are ready to embark on an edulution (look I am already coining my own words:) education-evolution).
I often find myself on the verge of being overwhelmed by all the possibilities of Web 2.0, so I feel it is important for me to use this blog to help make sense of all this for myself, my colleagues, and the students that we touch on a daily basis. I will attempt to add posts that discuss various topics and encourages others to particpate in their own way.

I would like to set up a blog, maybe it would be a wikispace, where students could communicate with me. They could submit their concern and ideas. I think we need to have a discussion about the RBE mail system. Is it time to stop having the snail mail system and move to email, a blog, or a wikispace?
